Inspection Procedure

HINT:

In case of using the hand-held tester, start the inspection from step  1 and in case of not using the hand-held tester, start from step  2.

1. Check light control switch using hand-held tester. 

   PREPARATION: 

   Connect the hand-held tester to DLC 3.

   CHECK: 

   Check that the light control switch operate in ACTIVE LIST (See PRE-CHECK ).

   1. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ). 
   2. NG: Go to Next Step 
2. Check headlight control switch (See  INSPECTION  ). 
   1. NG: Replace the headlight control switch. 
   2. OK: Go to Next Step 
3. Check wire harness and connector between headlight control switch and Body ECU (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
   1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
   2. OK: Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  ).
