DTC P0120: Throttle Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Toyota Tacoma. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: If Engine Control Module (ECM) replacement is instructed in following test, always ensure ECM connectors and ground circuits are okay. If either are defective, repair and repeat testing to confirm ECM malfunction.
NOTE: If DTCs related to MAF/IAT, EGR temperature, ECT, TP and VP sensors are output simultaneously, the E2 sensor ground circuit between ECM 24-pin connector E7 terminal No. 18 (Blue/Black wire) and sensors may be open. See appropriate WIRING DIAGRAM under ENGINE PERFORMANCE in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS. For ECM connector terminal identification, see Figure. It may be necessary to check Blue/Black wire between splice I13 and ECM 24-pin connector E7 terminal No. 18. Splice I13 is located behind passenger's side of instrument panel. See Figure.
