Inspection Procedure

  1. Measure resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of DLC3. 

    CHECK: 

    Measure the resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the DLC3.

    RESULT: 

    RESISTANCE MEASURING

    Result Proceed to
    54 to 66 Ω A
    1 MΩ or higher B
    1. A : Go to step   3 . 
    2. B : Go to next step. 
  2. Check for short circuit in harness and connector between junction connector and DLC3. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Disconnect the bus line connectors from the junction connector.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the DLC3.

    OK: 

    Resistance: 1M Ω or higher 

    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector between junction connector and DLC3 and go to step   3 . 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  3. Check for short circuit in harness and connector between terminals CANL and CANH of the yaw rate sensor wire harness side connector. 

    PREPARATION: 

    1. Disconnect the bus line connectors form the junction connector.
    2. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the resistance between terminals CANL and CANH of the yaw rate sensor wire harness side connector.

    OK: 

    Resistance: 54 to 66 Ω 

    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector between junction connector and yaw rate sensor. 
    2. OK : Go to next step. 
  4. Measure voltage of IG power source. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

    CHECK: 

    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Measure the voltage between terminals IG and GND of the yaw rate sensor connector.

    OK: 

    Voltage: 10 to 14 V 

    1. NG : Go to step   5 . 
    2. OK : Replace yaw rate sensor. 
    NOTE: When replacing the yaw rate sensor, perform the zero point calibration (see PRE-CHECK  ).
  5. Measure resistance between terminal GND of yaw rate sensor connector and body ground. 

    PREPARATION: 

    Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

    CHECK: 

    Measure the resistance between terminal GND of the yaw rate sensor harness side connector and body ground.

    OK: 

    Resistance: 1 Ω or less 

    1. NG : Repair or replace harness and connector. 
    2. OK : Replace yaw rate sensor.
