Front Wiper Motor & Linkage Assembly: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus RX 300 and 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the washer nozzles to the hood. Connect the washer hoses. See Figure.
  2. Install the wiper motor with the 3 bolts to the wiper link. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Align the matchmarks on the wiper link and wiper motor, then install the nut. See Figure.
  3. Install the wiper link assembly with the 5 bolts to the body panel. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Connect the connector.
  4. Install the cowl louvers with the 2 clips. Install the weatherstrip to the cowl louvers.
  5. Install the wiper arms and tighten the nuts by hand. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF. Adjust the wiper arms. See FRONT WIPER ARMS under ADJUSTMENTS . Install the RH wiper arm with 2 nuts, then the LH wiper arm with the nut. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
