Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the radio and navigation assembly connector R7.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      ATX+ - ATX- Always 60 to 80 Ω

    NG: REPLACE RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER) 
    1. Disconnect the connectors from the radio and navigation assembly R7 and stereo component amplifier assembly S11.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      ATX+/- TX+ (S11-8) (1) Always Below 1 Ω
      ATX-/- TX- (S11-7) (1) Always Below 1 Ω
      ATX+/- TX+ (S11-20) (2) Always Below 1 Ω
      ATX-/- TX- (S11-19) (2) Always Below 1 Ω
      ATX+/- Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      ATX-/- Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      (1) Coupe
      (2) Convertible

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
