Transfer Assembly: Removal

REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE
EM-80 for 2AZ-FE.
REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR (See REMOVAL )
INSTALL ENGINE HANGERS (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY (See DISASSEMBLY )
DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SETTING BOLT (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE TRANSFER STIFFENER PLATE RH
1. Remove the 4 bolts and transfer stiffener plate RH.
REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )

REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts and 6 nuts.
2. Using a plastic hammer, remove the transfer assembly from the transaxle assembly.
  NOTE:
  - Remove the transfer assembly from the transaxle assembly without tilting it.
  - During removal, do not hold the transfer assembly by the oil seals on either side of the assembly.
