Fuel Pump: Reassembly

  1. INSTALL FUEL PUMP (for 4WD) 
    1. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to a new O-ring, then install it into the fuel pump.

    2. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.
    3. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to the O-ring of the fuel pump again.

    4. Engage the 5 claws, and install the fuel pump filter onto the fuel pump with fuel filter.
      NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not jump out of position during installation.

    5. Engage the 2 claws of the No. 1 fuel suction support.

    6. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.

    7. Engage the 2 claws and install a new E-ring and fuel pump sub-tank.

    8. Apply gasoline to a new O-ring and install it to the jet pump.

    9. Install the jet pump to the sub-tank as shown in the illustration.

    10. Align the groove of the fuel pump filter hose with the cutout of the fuel sub-tank and install the hose.

  2. INSTALL FUEL PUMP (for 2WD) 
    1. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to a new O-ring, then install it into the fuel pump.

    2. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.
    3. Apply a light coat of gasoline or spindle oil to the O-ring of the fuel pump again.

    4. Engage the 5 claws, and install the fuel pump filter onto the fuel pump with fuel filter.
      NOTE: Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or does not jump out of position during installation.

    5. Engage the 2 claws of the No. 1 fuel suction support.

    6. Connect the fuel pump harness connector.

    7. Engage the 2 claws and install a new E-ring and fuel pump sub-tank.

    8. Align the groove of the fuel pump filter hose with the cutout of the fuel sub-tank and install the hose.
