Inspection Procedure
- INSPECT ECM
- Disconnect the B29 connector from the ECM.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
VOLTAGE SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition B29-56 (D) - Body ground Clutch pedal depressed Below 1 V Clutch pedal released 11 to 14 V NG: Go to Next Step
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- INSPECT CLUTCH SWITCH (CRUISE CONTROL CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the A3 connector from the clutch switch.
- Remove the clutch switch assembly (See CLUTCH SWITCH ).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Switch pin free 10 kΩ or higher Switch pin pushed in Below 1 Ω - Install the clutch switch (See INSTALLATION ).
NG: REPLACE CLUTCH SWITCH (CRUISE CONTROL CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (See INSTALLATION )
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - CLUTCH SWITCH)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition B29-56 (D) - A3-2 Always Below 1 Ω B29-56 (D) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Courtesy of © TOYOTA, LICENSE AGREEMENT TMS1002
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ECM - CLUTCH SWITCH)
OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BATTERY - CLUTCH SWITCH)
