Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY, BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E85 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E85-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE REFERENCE CHART

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E85-4 (B) - E85-7 (GND) Always 11 to 14V
      E85-3 (ACC) - E85-7 (GND) Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
