Synchronizing Ignition Keys With Radio-Frequency Remote Control

Synchronization is necessary when the vehicle does not open or close when radio-frequency button is operated or when the relevant malfunction is indicated in the Read measuring value block function. It is possible that the key code and control module code no longer match. This can occur if the send button on the key is operated frequently outside the operational range of the system.

The vehicle key(s) must be re-synchronized if this occurs. The synchronization procedure must not last longer than 1 minute.

  1. Press and hold lock or unlock wave button on key to be synchronized for 1 second. The key code will be recognized and activated.
  2. Using the new key (being adapted), mechanically lock or unlock the vehicle within 1 minute (i.e. driver side door) or lock it via the internal locking switch.
  3. The adaptation procedure has been completed.
