Fuel Injection System - BOSCH LH (Non Turbo): Operation: Injectors

The injectors, located in intake manifold, point directly toward intake valve. All injectors are supplied with fuel from a common fuel manifold. The injection pulse is controlled electrically by a needle valve in lower section of injector. The needle valve is operated by an electric solenoid which is switched on and off by the ECU. Injectors open simultaneously once per engine revolution, except during cold starting. During cold starting injectors are opened twice per engine revolution.
