Checking the Signal Cable Resistance To Ground

• Ignition off.
• Control module disconnected.
• Expose the combined instrument panel.
• Disconnect the combined instrument panel.

  Connect an ohmmeter between terminals 19 (0 Volt) and 13 on the breakout box.

The ohmmeter should read infinite resistance. 

• OK 

  Refer to Replacing combined instrument panel 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Checking for an open-circuit
