Connecting & Disconnecting Breakout Box: Disconnecting
CAUTION:
Wait 2 minutes after Ignition has been switched off. Main relay MUST be voltage free before removing control module from vehicle. If engine cooling fan runs on after Ignition has been switched off, wait until it stops and then wait for a further 2 minutes.
NOTE:
DO NOT touch control module terminal pins with fingers. Static electricity may damage control module.
- Insert Tool (999 5722) or equivalent around adapter. Move the upper section of the tool backwards as far as it will go. Pull up. See Figure.
- Carefully pull up on adapter.
- Install control module. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - EXCEPT S40 & V40 article.
