Installing Engine Block Components

Note! Always use new seal washers and gaskets!

Install
- thermostat housing
- knock sensor (KS)
- flame trap
- the pipe screw for the water-heated crankcase ventilation.

If in doubt about the order of assembly see: Disassembling The Engine, Exposing The Engine Body.

Install the flywheel and carrier plate. See Replacing the rear crankshaft seal, refer to Cylinder Block Assembly, Crankshaft Main Bearing Seal.

For the correct tightening torques see Specifications





The ignition coil alignment and the wiring routing follows the illustrations.
