Fault Conditions

Combined instrument (CDM) transmits information on fuel level and diagnostic trouble status in fuel level sensor to ECM. If CDM registers an electrical fault in fuel level sensor, DTC DIM-0003 or DIM-0004 is displayed in the combined instrument, and DTC ECM-4050 is set in ECM (signal too high). If ECM registers a communication failure with CDM, DTC ECM-4050 will be set in ECM (no signal). If ECM registers fuel consumption of more than 12 liters while CDM registers fuel consumption of less than 2 liters, DTC DIM-0002 is displayed in CDM, and DTC ECM-4050 is set in ECM (faulty signal).
