Test 63A - Diagnosing Chime Function Problems

Chime function system diagnostics are separated into various categories. Verify customer complaint and identify problem area before performing appropriate test. See DIAGNOSING CHIME FUNCTION PROBLEMS table.

DIAGNOSING CHIME FUNCTION PROBLEMS

Description Perform Test
Diagnosing No Chime At All 63B 
Diagnosing Chime On All The Time Malfunction:
Seat Belt Buckled 63C 
Driver Door Open 63D 
Diagnosing A No-Chime Malfunction:
Exterior Lamps On, Ignition Switch To OFF Position
& Driver Door Open 64A 
Key In Ignition, Ignition Switch To OFF Position
& Driver Door Open 64B 
Seat Belt Unbuckled & Ignition Switch To ON Position
For 6 Seconds 64C 
Turn Signal On At Speeds More
Than 15 MPH For One Mile 64D
