VTSS Test 2A - Disarming VTSS System

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1B - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Using scan tool, read body controller module information. If scan tool displays NS PREMIUM W/VTSS, see VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS TESTS  . If scan tool does not display NS PREMIUM W/VTSS, go to next step.
  2. If scan tool displays NS BODY PREMIUM, vehicle is equipped with this option. Using scan tool, select BODY CONTROLLER, then MISCELLANEOUS. Using scan tool, enable VTSS. If system is enabled, go to VTSS TEST 1A  . If system is not enabled, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A.
