Information Center Test 4B - Engine Temperature Warning Light Driver Circuit
NOTE:
Perform INFORMATION CENTER TEST 4A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Using scan tool, select BODY SYSTEMS. Read CHIME MONITOR. If engine temperature light is illuminated, see INSTRUMENT PANEL - ANALOG article. If engine temperature light is not illuminated, go to next step.
- Turn engine off. Turn ignition to ON position. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . If engine temperature light is not illuminated, replace BCM. If engine temperature light is illuminated, go to next step.
- Disconnect information center connector. Remove ignition key. Turn off all lights and accessories. Close all doors. Go to next step.
- Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance on information center connector, terminal No. 6 (Violet wire). If resistance is 10 ohms or greater, replace information center. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, repair Violet wire for short to ground.
