Testing:
- Ensure all doors are closed. Turn ignition off. Connect DRBIII(R) to DLC. Using the DRBIII(R), select BODY COMPUTER, then INPUT/OUTPUT. Observe state of all DOOR AJAR switches. Does the DRBIII(R) display CLOSED for any door ajar state? If yes, perform appropriate DOOR AJAR CIRCUIT SHORTED test under DOOR AJAR SYSTEM. If no, go to next step.
- Using the DRBIII(R), read ENGINE DTCS. Does the DRBIII(R) display any TPS or VSS DTCs? If yes, diagnose those DTCs first. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DURANGO - JTEC or SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DURANGO - NGC article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no, go to next step.
- Using the DRBIII(R), select BODY COMPUTER, then MISCELLANEOUS. Observe AUTO DOOR LOCKS state. Does the DRBIII(R) display AUTO DOOR LOCKS: ENABLED? If yes, go to next step. If no, use DRBIII(R) to enable Auto Door Locks. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- If there are no possible causes remaining, replace CTM. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
