Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Dodge Durango and 2002 Dodge Dakota. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

A Closed Crankcase Ventilation (CCV) system is used on vehicles equipped with 2.5L. If engine is equipped with a CCV system, it will not have a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve. For more information on CCV system and PCV system, see EMISSION SYSTEMS & SUB-SYSTEMS in appropriate THEORY & OPERATION article. If engine is equipped with CCV system, go to CLOSED CRANKCASE VENTILATION SYSTEM  .

NOTE: For component location, see COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . For connector identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For circuit identification and wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article. After each repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components.
