Control Panel Assembly: Removal

- Rotate temperature control knob to full COOL position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove radio fascia. To remove radio fascia, insert Radio Removers 415-001 (T87P-19061-A) into holes on edge of radio face plate. See Fig 1.
- Push removers in 1" (25.4 mm) to release radio retaining clips. Pull radio chassis from instrument panel using removers as handles. Disconnect antenna lead and wiring connectors. See Fig 2.
- Remove 2 finish panel screws, disconnect spring clips and remove instrument panel finish panel. See Fig 3. Disconnect connectors from rear of finish panel. See Fig 4. Remove 5 screws and remove control panel assembly. See Fig 5. Disconnect electrical and vacuum connectors. See Fig 6. Pull and remove temperature control knob. Remove screw. See Fig 7. Rotate temperature control switch and disconnect it from climate control head with temperature blend door control cable still attached.
