How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Using the Techstream, inspect the CAN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).

      Result: 

      CAN COMMUNICATION RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      No DTCs output A
      DTCs output B

    B: Go TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

    A: Go to Next Step 

  4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  .

      Result: 

      CAN COMMUNICATION RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
      Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B:  Go to step  6

    A: Go to Next Step 

  5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. see TERMINALS OF ECU 
    2. see DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST 
  6. REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    END
