DISPLAY UNIT : Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to "WIRING DIAGRAM ".

  1. CHECK FUSES

    Check that the following display unit fuses are not blown.

    FUSE REFERENCE

    Unit Terminals Signal name Fuse No.
    Display Unit 2 Battery power 31
    3 Ignition switch ACC or ON 4

    Are the fuses OK? 

    YES: GO TO  2.

    NO: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse.

  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
    1. Turn ignition switch to ACC
    2. Check voltage between display unit harness connector M168 and ground.

      Does specified voltage exist? 

      YES: GO TO  3.

      NO:

      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect display unit connector.
    3. Check continuity between display unit harness connector M168 and ground.

      Does continuity exist? 

      YES: Inspection End.

      NO: Repair harness or connector.
