How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedure on this page.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK   ) 
  3. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 
    1. If the symptom does not occur, proceed to A.
    2. If the symptom occurs, proceed to B.
    1. A: SYMPTOM SIMULATION 
    2. B: GO TO NEXT STEP

  5. INSPECTION (See  PRE-CHECK   ) 
  6. IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEM 
  7. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  8. CONFIRMATION TEST

Before troubleshooting: 

  1. Using the tester, check the battery voltage.

    Standard Voltage: 11 to 14 V 

  2. Perform a visual check for blown fuses, and poor connections in connectors.
