Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK MAP DISC 
    1. Check that the map disc is not deformed or cracked.

      OK: No deformations or cracks appear on the map disc.

    1. NG: REPLACE MAP DISC 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK MAP DISC 
    1. Check for dirt on the map disc surface.

      OK: No dirt is on the map disc surface. 

      HINT:

      If dirt is on the map disc surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

      NOTE: Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.

    1. NG: CLEAN MAP DISC 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. NAVIGATION CHECK MODE (MICROPHONE CHECK) 
    1. Enter the "Microphone Check" mode (see NAVIGATION CHECK MODE (MICROPHONE CHECK)  )
    2. Follow the directions on the screen. Check if the word recognition indicator lights up in green for each item.

      OK: All check items are recognized.

    1. NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  
    2. OK: REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU (SEE  NAVIGATION ECU  )
