Work Procedure
- SAVE VCM DATA
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.CAUTION: During this period, never perform vehicle handling such as opening and closing of doors. If some kind of vehicle handling is performed, then wait another 90 seconds or more from the time of the vehicle handling.
- Turn power switch ON.
- Select "SAVE DATA FOR CPU REPLACE" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode using CONSULT.
- Follow the instruction of CONSULT display.NOTE: Necessary data in VCM is copied and saved to CONSULT.
Is operation completed successfully?
YES
GO TO 2
NO
GO TO 4
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.
- REPLACE VCM
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.CAUTION: During this period, never perform vehicle handling such as opening and closing of doors. If some kind of vehicle handling is performed, then wait another 90 seconds or more from the time of the vehicle handling.
- Replace VCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .
GO TO 3
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.
- WRITE VCM DATA
- Select "WRITE DATA AFTER REPLACE CPU" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode using CONSULT.
- Follow the instruction of CONSULT display.NOTE: The data saved by "SAVE DATA FOR CPU REPLACE" is written to VCM.
Is operation completed successfully?
YES
GO TO 7
NO
GO TO 5
- REPLACE VCM
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.CAUTION: During this period, never perform vehicle handling such as opening and closing of doors. If some kind of vehicle handling is performed, then wait another 90 seconds or more from the time of the vehicle handling.
- Replace VCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .
GO TO 5
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.
- WRITE VIN DATA
Refer to Work Procedure .
GO TO 6
- LI-ION BATTERY ID REGISTRATION
Refer to "Li-ion Battery Registration Operation Manual" that is included with the security card (for EV battery registration).
GO TO 7
- PERFORM ACCELERATE PEDAL CLOSED POSITION LEARNING
Refer to Work Procedure .
GO TO 8
- SET VCM TIMER
Set the combination meter clock right. Refer to System Description .
GO TO 9
- CHECK DTC
- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.CAUTION: During this period, never perform vehicle handling such as opening and closing of doors. If some kind of vehicle handling is performed, then wait another 90 seconds or more from the time of the vehicle handling.
- Turn power switch ON.
- Check DTC. If DTC is displayed, erase it.

- Turn off the power and wait at least 90 seconds.
