Shift Control Cable: Removal

  1. Set the park brake and chock the wheels.
  2. Remove the cable (4) at the transaxle (2) shift control assembly (3). See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove the cable at the transaxle cable bracket. See Fig 2 .
  4. Remove the center console. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in appropriate SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEMS article.
  5. Remove the cable at the shift control assembly. See Fig 3 .
  6. Remove the cable grommet at the cowl.
  7. Remove the cable from the vehicle.
