Fuel Pump Module: Disassembly

  1. Remove fuel level sensor unit. See Figure. Disconnect harness connector. Hold connector by fingers and pull it out, because there is no stopper release tab. See Figure.
  2. Using a suitable tool, pull up tabs as shown in the figure (2 points) to release the lock. See Figure.
    3. CAUTION: Do not disassemble fuel filter and fuel pump assembly.
  3. Slide fuel level sensor unit out in direction shown by the arrow. See Figure.


  1. Remove fuel level sensor unit. See Figure. Disconnect harness connector. Hold connector by fingers and pull it out, because there is no stopper release tab. See Figure.
  2. Using a suitable tool, pull up tabs as shown in the figure (2 points) to release the lock. See Figure.
    3. CAUTION: Do not disassemble fuel filter and fuel pump assembly.
  3. Slide fuel level sensor unit out in direction shown by the arrow. See Figure.


  1. Pull out the fuel level sensor unit, fuel filter and fuel pump assembly. See Figure and Figure .
  2. Remove the pump support rubber from the fuel level sensor unit, fuel filter and fuel pump assembly. See Figure.
  3. Using a screwdriver, disconnect harness connector from fuel pump. See Figure.
  4. Remove fuel pump.
  5. Remove fuel filter. See Figure.
  6. Remove fuel return hose. See Figure.
  7. Remove pressure regulator mounting bolts as shown. See Figure.
  8. Disconnect pressure regulator housing from fuel level sensor unit. See Figure.
  9. Remove clip and disassemble pressure regulator. See Figure.
