Inspection Procedure

When using the intelligent tester, start from 1. When not using the intelligent tester, start from 2.

READ VALUE OF INTELLIGENT TESTER (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH)
1. Connect the intelligent tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
2. Check that the light control switch operates using the DATA LIST (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST ).
- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
INSPECT LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
1. Inspect the light control switch assembly (see ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ).
- NG: REPLACE LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
CHECK WIRE HARNESS (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH - BODY ECU)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
